Before celebrating the holiday this Sunday with your extended family, take a break from preparing for the Easter Bunny’s visit by attending the first annual Spring Instrument Drive & Festival presented by non-profit organization Mission Music.
On Saturday from 11 am-3 pm, Mission Music will be collecting new and used instruments for children across South Jersey that are easily transportable (sorry no grand pianos). If you don’t have an instrument to donate like myself, cash donations are also being accepted for new instruments and new/existing programs for students.
Most people are aware that owning and learning how to play an instrument is a luxury that not everyone can afford. Founders Zach Greer and Arthur “Skeeter” Seifert created Mission Music to provide programs for children from elementary to high school level with music lessons. Taught by volunteers in comfortable environments, students can be more confident and provide more opportunities to dedicated students.
Local vendors will be selling food and merchandise at the festival while live music plays throughout the day. There will be opportunities to win raffles for the adults and games for children to play.
The event is located on 28 East Branch Avenue Pine Hill, NJ on the corner of East Branch Avenue and Pine Street rain or shine.
