It has been said that history is known to repeat itself. Unfortunately, it happened to British extreme metalers Cradle of Filth who were forced to cancel their first four shows on their North American tour, “Inquisitional Tourture,” including tomorrow evening at the Theatre of Living Arts in Philadelphia, due to visa issues.
Says vocalist and Cradle of Filth founder Dani Filth, “With a massively heavy heart Cradle Of Filth have to announce the cancellation, (for now at least), of our first four shows in the U.S, because of a visa issue with the American Embassy. We are doing everything in our power to rectify this situation as fast as possible.
It is an nightmarish situation for all and we can only apologise for all those fans who have bought tickets.
Thank you for your understanding and please be assured we are doing everything we can to be with you as soon as is humanly possible and that should be 31st January in Charlotte, NC. We look forward to seeing you then.”
Cradle of Filth also had to cancel their entire North American tour, “28 Days Closer to Hell” in 2013 due to immigration issues that were “beyond the band’s control.”
Also on the bill are American heavy metal band Butcher Babies and progressive metal band Ne Obliviscaris from Melbourne, Australia. Ne Obliviscaris were able to book three last minute headlining shows to replace the cancelled shows with Cradle of Filth, according to their Facebook page.
There affected tour dates are as follows:
Jan. 26 – Philadelphia, PA – Theater of the Living Arts
Jan. 27 – Boston, MA – House of Blues
Jan. 28 – Baltimore, MD – Baltimore Soundstage
Jan. 29 – Raleigh, NC – The Ritz
